Registration Continues for Cultural Jewish Children’s Sunday Program

Registration continues for 2nd-7th graders at the Sunday Children’s Education Program run by The Jewish Cultural School & Society. JCSS is the only secular humanistic Jewish congregation serving Essex, Passaic, Union and Bergen Counties and it serves parts of Morris County as well. The Children’s program features history, literature, conversational Hebrew, Holiday & Life Cycle events and arts. It culminates in a Graduation/ B’nai Mitzvah in Grades 7-8. Classes are held 9:30 am-noon, in rented space in the Early Childhood Center, JCCMetroWest, 760 Northfield Ave., West Orange (enter from rear parking). Interested families are invited to check out our events and classes.


JCSS Purim Celebration on March 16 Welcomes Kids Grades 2-5

The Jewish Cultural School & Society has opened its secular humanistic Purim Celebration on Sunday March 16 to interested families with children in Grades 2-5. Games, a Megillah reading, a “living museum of Jewish leaders,” an art show, stuffing of shalach manot bags, and refreshments are part of the fun put on by JCSS teachers and enrolled families. The 10 am-noon event takes place in the JCSS rented space in the Early Childhood Center at the JCC, 760 Northfield Avenue, West Orange (enter from the back parking lot).
